Early Years Children 

 

To make the transition from school to after school care easier for children in the Early Years we offer home visits and stay and play sessions before the children start school.  One of our staff will also do an informal interview with your child to find out what toys they like, what types of food they like or dislike and generally get to know them.

 

We plan our main activities around the learning that is happening in Reception.  When the children were learning about 'colour', we had an activity that was based on collaging a rainbow and learning the colour names in different languages.  During the dinosaur project the children made pasta fossils and hand print dinosaurs.

 

The planned activities are based indoors and outdoors allowing children to explore and initiate their own learning through play.
